The Manchester Museum of Science & Industry is situated in the oldest passenger railway buildings in the world and is a must see when visiting Manchester The Museum tells the story of the history, science and industry of Manchester which was the world's first industrial city. Museum of Science & Industry is where you will discover all the interesting facts about Manchester’s role in the industrial revolution and get the chance to see steam engines and locomotives, to modern day aircraft and star gaze in the planetarium.
Finding the Museum of Science & Industry The Museum is on Liverpool Road in Castlefield, close to the Bethan Tower home of the Hilton Manchester in the City Centre. It is clearly signposted from all main routes to the City Centre. Simply follow the brown tourist signs. Car parking is available - £5.00 (£3.00 after 3pm). During school holidays the car park may be busy: please arrive early to avoid dissappointment. By Train : Nearest railway station - Deansgate. By Tram: Nearest Metrolink (tram) station - G-Mex. By Bus: Bus No 33 from Piccadilly Gardens stops outside the Museum on Liverpool Road.
